Welcome to the maiden edition of the SURWASH Newsletter, sharing our strides in delivering sustainable WASH.
Dear Esteemed Stakeholders,
With great pleasure, I welcome you to this maiden edition of
the SURWASH Newsletter, a platform dedicated to sharing the
strides we are making together in delivering sustainable water,
sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services across Nigeria.
Since the inception of the Sustainable Urban and Rural Water
Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (SURWASH) Programme, we have
remained committed to strengthening WASH systems, expanding
infrastructure, and enhancing accountability and transparency
through results-based financing. With the collaborative efforts of
our implementing states, development partners, and the private
sector, we are steadily advancing toward our shared goals.
In this issue, we highlight key milestones achieved in the past
quarter, including progress in infrastructure development,
capacity-building initiatives, and community-level interventions.
We also feature stories from the field, offering first-hand accounts
of how SURWASH is transforming lives and enabling inclusive
access to basic services.
The journey ahead is still long, but our determination is
unwavering. I invite all stakeholders to continue playing an active
role in shaping a future where every Nigerian has access to safe
water and sanitation. Your continued support, innovation, and
